-collate
Make output with multiple copies collated.
Syntax
-collate Y|N
Description
If you are printing multiple copies of a document, the collate option allows you to change the order in which pages are produced. If -collate is not specified for merge, then it takes the collate value from the Form object, which has a default value of Y.
For example, a 3 page document with 2 copies would have the page order: 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3. By using -collate Y, the page order will become: 1,2,3,1,2,3. Merge considers each collated copy its own document.
This option overrides the Form object's collate setting in Design. It can be used with all print and PDF output configurations.
