Defines how content flows onto columns on a page.

Syntax

-balancedcolumns Yes|No

Description

By default, child panes are evenly distributed between columns within the parent pane when the "Layout in multiple columns" option is enabled. However, you can disable column balancing by using the tag balancedcolumns No for the "Layout in multiple columns" pane. When balancedcolumns is set to No, the content will fill the left column first and then flow into the next column to the right. This setting can also be applied globally, either through the Merge command-line option or by configuring the $O/Merge.prm file.

The default value is Yes.
